Tree Removal
There are many reasons why a person might want to remove trees from their property. Often, the reason has to do with safety. Trees can become a hazard if they begin to lean too close to a person’s house, utility wires, or yard play area. Especially during a storm, lightning and strong winds can make the tree a real danger to your home if it is leaning too close.
You may also want to clear an area of your yard, especially if you don’t have a lot of open space. Trees do take up space, especially if their branches create too much shade and don’t let the sun in to nourish your grass, garden, or other growths. Removing the tree can create play areas, space for a garden, and can allow other greenery to grow.
If a tree becomes sick, it will also need to be removed. Sick trees can spread their decay to the rest of your yard, and even to other properties beyond yours. Additionally, the longer you wait to remove a sick tree, the deeper the decay becomes and the more hazardous it is for the arborist who removes it. If you have a tree you suspect is sick or you are concerned may need to be removed, we are happy to perform a consultation.
Once we have completed a consultation, if you give us the go ahead, we will schedule a day to come and remove the tree. This will involve the use of some large and noisy equipment. We remove a tree one branch at a time starting from the largest branches at the top. The job itself can take several hours. Once the tree has been removed, we haul it away so you are left with no clean-up in the area. If you would like to keep some of the wood, we are happy to leave it for you.
You will be left with a stump once your tree is removed. We recommend that you choose to have the stump removed with the tree, but you do have the choice to keep the stump if that is what you would prefer. Some families like to keep a stump to add interest to their yard and a play item for children.
